Time: Fifth year, after Umbridge's first detention Place: Gryffindor Common Room Character(s) Invited to Join Thread: Anyone who happens to wander into the Gryffindor Common Room
Harry returned to the Gryffindor common room, absentmindedly rubbing his right hand. It still burned from Umbridge's detention, but he was not thinking about the pain. Instead, he thought of her high, girlish voice and giggle, and how much they disgusted him as she told him, "Naughty children must be punished whenever they tell lies."
He paced in front of the fire, wishing more than anything that he could talk to Sirius. Hermione and Ron were probably away doing their Prefect duties or something. Anyway, he couldn't tell them about this. He could picture their answers right away. Ron would say, "That's bang out of order, mate," and Hermione would interrupt and say how much he needed to tell Dumbledore about Umbridge's punishment. Not like Dumbledore would care - he hadn't even stopped for a word at his trial...
Certain that he was alone, he collapsed on the couch in front of the fire, his head in his hands.
